I have the best little kitchen helper. She just wants to be involved in EVERYTHING I do.
Oh, ahem, I actually meant TWO kitchen "helpers".
We made our first Blueberry Cheesecake!
Happy PI Day!! I consider this to be a pie.
Let's just state the obvious reasonings behind this:
- It's round
- It has a CRUST
- It's in a pie dish
- You cut it just like you would a pie :)
That looks absolutely delicious! Could I have the recipe?

If you enjoy making pies/cheesecakes, I have a really great white chocolate cheesecake recipe. I love baking, so I'm always collecting new recipes. If you'd like it, it goes splendidly with a raspberry topping. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your helpers are adorable. Like Daddy like daughter much?
Tayler- I just used this recipe, http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/philadelphia-classic-cheesecake-52544.aspx, with slight modifications, and then I pureed about 2 cups of fresh blueberries. I used half of that and added it with the cream cheese mixture and used the rest on the top once it was baked and cooled. Then topped it off with blueberries spread about on top. The only thing I'd do differently is maybe cook it on a lower temp. The middle didn't set like I had wanted it. But hey, it was a first attempt. I also left it in too long because I forgot about it so the top didn't look so good. Oops. Haha.
